"Chapter 4, The Unified Theory of Poker, alone is easily worth the price of the book."

Pawel "Verneer" Nazarwicz:

Author of Building a Bankroll found at MtMicroPoker.com

"This book is a glimpse into the mind of a long-term winning player and that's critical. At times it's really dense (the math behind the enumerations), but having access to 200+ pages of organized thoughts from a player of Derric's caliber is invaluable and easily worth the price of the book.

I would not recommend this as a starter book, but for anyone who is winning at the small or mid stakes and wants to take his or her game to the next level, this is a good follow-up book that should easily pay for itself if you are looking to become more serious about the game, even if you don't get all or most of the math involved in the theory section."

Tim "NuteDawg" Nuter

Cardrunners.com coach and instructor, and high stakes poker pro

"This book covers all the advanced concepts needed to truly wrap your head around everything that is poker. While it doesn't give a ton of very specific advice, like opening ranges or what boards to c-bet, it teaches you how to come to your own definitive conclusions."

Customer Reviews

"I love this book. I'm in the UK and got it within a few days of ordering it. The books contents really hammered home to me what work I should now be doing on my game away from the tables, stressing the importance of every decision, and how you can go about improving the quality of your decisions. The meat of the book, the Unified Theory of Poker, although it has a high math content, which it must, is easy to follow and for me is a great framework to take away and use for study.

"Derric has obviously not held much back from what he has learned and found effective in making him a successful poker player over the years and this is described clearly in the book.  If you are serious about poker this book is a must for your collection. I mean I've been a pro now for 5 years and by the end of the book I thought, 'crickey I've got a sh*t load of work to do at my game', but now at least I've got an idea of what to do and how to do it."

TheRuffian's review from twoplustwo.com

"...This book is intellectually rich, and spends a LOT of time on the subject of your equity against an opponent's range... Ultimately, this book becomes useful when it is read & re-read, the concepts learned and thought about, and then integrated into your game..."
